25 February, 2026

In March 2025, Sabancı University organized the 8th HomomorphicEncryption.org Standards Meeting, held in Istanbul, Türkiye. The workshop brought together 84 professionals from 17 countries, including representatives from 14 universities across four continents, to advance standardization efforts in Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) and contribute to ongoing ISO-related developments.

The event targeted application developers, security practitioners, and homomorphic encryption experts, with discussions covering technical standards, software tools for development and benchmarking, hardware acceleration strategies, and industry applications. During the time slot allocated to Sabancı University, the PRIVIDEMA project was introduced and the latest updates were shared with participants.

This participation enabled direct engagement with leading actors in FHE standardization and strengthened PRIVIDEMA’s positioning within international standardization initiatives, while fostering collaboration opportunities with academia, industry, and public authorities.
