4 November, 2026

Prof. Erkay Savaş shared the objectives, progress, and ongoing research activities of PRIVIDEMA, an EU-funded project, at the LICORICE workshop on privacy-preserving technologies in health and cybersecurity.

The LICORICE workshop, titled “Advancing Privacy-Preserving Technologies in Health and Cybersecurity,” brought together researchers and technology stakeholders to discuss innovative approaches to protecting sensitive data while enabling its secure use, sharing, and analysis.

Representing Sabancı University, Prof. Erkay Savaş introduced the PRIVIDEMA project, presenting its main objectives, ongoing activities, and current stage of development. His presentation highlighted the project’s approach to advancing privacy-preserving technologies and enabling secure computation on sensitive data.

As a sister project of LICORICE, PRIVIDEMA shares a common interest in developing technologies that reconcile data privacy with the need to make effective use of sensitive information. The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and discuss the potential applications of privacy-preserving technologies across healthcare, cybersecurity, and secure digital ecosystems.

The participation of Sabancı University in this international event contributed to strengthening the visibility of its research activities in privacy-preserving technologies and fostering knowledge exchange between EU-funded research initiatives. Such collaboration supports broader efforts to develop trustworthy digital solutions that enable data-driven innovation while safeguarding privacy.
